THS Art

Tupelo High School is proud to offer a variety of art classes with 5 visual art specialists serving students from 9th through 12th grade. Students work with visual art specialists to not only complete finished work, but also study different processes, media, and techniques.  

Tupelo High School offers advanced placement opportunities for seniors working towards completed portfolios, competitions and college entries.  Students create a body of work based on a related topic. Students plan this collection and each piece of art from start to finish.  The process taught within these upper level art classes build critical skills in the the creative process which include observation, planning, implementation, and self reflection.
