Show Choirs

Tupelo High School offers two showchoirs, Soundwave and Synergy. Both are comprised of 9th-12th grade singer dancers. These groups compete statewide, regionally, and nationally. Synergy most recently won Grand Champion of the unisex division and 3rd Overall at Madison Central Deep South Classic this season. Both groups are under the direction of Danielle Frerer Ratliff.

These choirs are accompanied by the best student band in the area, Structure. These auditioned students play multiple instruments each and help collaborate to make some pretty rockin' music for both showchoirs and even themselves. They consistently score very high at competitions, even amongst professionals. They are under the direction of Tracy Smithey. 

Last, but not least, our backstage group, Crew, takes care of all costumes, set, and lighting. They are our fearless unsung heroes that make sure each rehearsal and performance go as smoothly as possible.
