Student Assessments

The Office of Assessment oversees all state testing for the Tupelo Public School District. This currently includes:

• MCT2 testing in grades 3-8
• Mississippi Science Test in grades 5 and 8
• NAEP in selected grades each year
• Subject Area tests in English II, Biology, US History, and Algebra I at the high school
• MKAS testing for Pre-K and K student in the fall and spring

As the state transitions to MS College and Readiness Standards the state required assessments will also change. The TPSD Office of Assessment is currently working to prepare for this change.
