The art program at Milam allows students to explore a variety of art materials, develop art techniques, and use creative thinking skills to express ideas and viewpoints about personal experiences and the world through the concept of transformation. Students produce meaningful and unique drawings, paintings, prints, sculptures, and crafts that are designed to encourage the development of individual creativity. We study artists and their works to gain understanding of the artistic process and learn about art produced at different times and in diverse cultures. Students have the opportunity to have artwork displayed through the school and community.
