A message from TUPELO PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT
On the recommendation of superintendent Dr. Rob Picou, the Tupelo Public School District Board of Trustees voted Tuesday afternoon to lift the mask mandate and make it optional for all students and staff, effective Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2021. Factoring into the decision were numbers that showed both quarantined and positive case percentages within the school district have fallen below 2 percent for the past two weeks.
During the 2021-22 academic year, TPSD publishes weekly COVID numbers each Friday to keep the community Informed. Below are the results.
City officials have teamed with TPSD to provide additional hot spots throughout Tupelo, as shown on the interactive map.
