Bell Schedule/Student Schedule
7:30 a.m. Students arrive to their homeroom classes
8:00 a.m. Instruction begins
2:50 p.m. Dismissal bell
12:15p.m. Dismissal bell for 60% day
Each student’s schedule is determined by the grade level they are in since special activity periods are by grade
level, and lunch schedules are also grouped by grade levels.
Grades/Promotion/Retention
Lawhon follows the district’s 10 point grading scale. A student must achieve a final grade of 65 or above to pass a subject. We follow TPSD Board policy IHE regarding promotion and retention decisions. Placement decisions are based on grades earned and reported.
A student scoring at the lowest achievement level in reading on the established state assessment for 3rd grade will not be promoted to 4th grade unless the student meets the good cause exemptions for promotion.
Honor Roll
Students making all A’s or all A’s and B’s are recognized each grading period for being on the school honor roll.
