Welcome to Parkway Elementary School! The students, staff, and parents are proud of our exceptional school and the opportunities it provides our school community. Parkway is the newest primary school for students in kindergarten through third grade. Built in 2002, funding for the building was a result of a 29.5 million dollar bond issue. Parkway is located on the west side of Tupelo, across from Ballard Park and is nestled in a wooded area adjacent to the Natchez Trace Parkway. Upon entering Parkway, a feeling of warmth, excitement for learning and pride is evidenced by halls overflowing with student initiated work and projects. Further examination finds students actively engaged in the learning process, working in cooperative groups, sharing science experiments, participating in thematic units, and using technology.
The parents at our school are a very active and integral part of the educational process. We value and appreciate the role that parents and the community play in helping us provide effective, challenging, and engaging learning experiences for our students.
