Rogers, R.D., L.D.Director of Child Nutrition lhrogers@tupeloschools.com (662) 840-1857 The Tupelo Public School District Child Nutrition Department participates in the National School Lunch Program established in 1946, and the School Breakfast Program established in 1966. These federally assisted programs are administered by the United States Department of Agriculture and implemented through the State of Mississippi by the Mississippi Department of Education - Office of Child Nutrition. All schools offer nutritious breakfast and lunch meals that are planned with guidance from the "Dietary Guidelines for Americans", the USDA "Healthy School Meals Initiative for Healthy Children" and the “Healthy Hunger-Free Child’s Act of 2010”.
Students and staff are encouraged to select healthy choices from a variety of menu items
offered each day. All school menus are created centrally and are analyzed to make sure students receive their recommended daily allowances of calories and key nutrients that are appropriate to the student's age group. The TPSD Child Nutrition Department prepares and serves an average of 6300 student breakfast and lunch meals daily. It is our goal to provide healthy, well-balanced meals to our students in order to help them achieve peak performance in the classroom. |

The Tupelo Public School District offers nutritious menu choices everyday.
Milk choices are:
- 1% plain and fat free chocolate at Tupelo High
- fat free chocolate and fat free plain at Pre-K - 8th
Fruit choices are:
- assorted chilled and fresh fruits
- 100% orange juice
Vegetable choices are:
- one to two hot vegetables and one cold salad
Entrée choices include:
- salad meals
- sandwiches
- a variety of hot lunch entrees
Please refer to the grade specific menu for a listing of all choices offered each day.
Lunch Meal Prices are:
Pre-K $2.00 to $2.25
K-12 $2.25 to $2.50
Adults and visitors $3.00 to $3.25
Breakfast Meal Price are:
$1.00 for all grades$1.75 for Adults/Visitors
Reduced Price: $0.30 for all grades
Breakfast is offered at all school sites.
