Health Science is a two year program that consists of classroom instruction and hands-on experiences which provides students an overview of the healthcare field. Health Science I is the first course of the program and introduces students to the health crd careers, basic anatomy and physiology, and some basic care skills.
Health Science II is the second course of the program which introduces students to advanced patient care skills and various health care occupations. These students participate in job shadowing experiences through the local health care institutions. Details about the clinical rotations and immunization requirements will be provided in a letter. They will also within the 2 years be certified in CPR and First Aid.
Health Science I and II are individually counted as 2 carnegie unites upon successful completion.
