Staff

The TPSD staff is committed to providing an excellent education for all students.  We do our best to remove any obstacle to learning while encouraging every student to reach his or her potential.

The cornerstone of Tupelo schools is found in our teachers and staff. The percentage of teachers with National Board certification is the highest per capita in our state. Tupelo schools have received continuous accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools since 1918.

Tupelo teachers are often selected for national teaching awards and for other unique experiences related to their teaching.  Our teachers have traveled to China, Thailand, Greece, the Bahamas, and to other foreign countries to participate in educational seminars and workshops.  Our teachers are also asked frequently to speak and to present their ideas at state and national conferences as well as to play vital roles in statewide curriculum development.

The strong community support for Tupelo schools comes from several important groups: parents, the business community, and organizations such as the Association for Excellence in Education.
