AASHTO National Bridge Building Contest
Ms. Gusmus' 8th grade Pre-Advanced Placement Algebra 1 class competed in the AASHTO National Bridge Building contest. Seven teams built bridges and submitted portfolios for the competition. Unfortunately only 3 teams could be invited. Out of the 14 teams submitted, the Golden Wave Bridge Builders make up of Abby Grace, Mikhail Gaerlan, and John Tapscott from TMS were chosen. The other 2 teams invited to compete were from Missouri and New Hampshire. The competition will be held in Branson, Missouri, May 5th. There will be a bridge competition held at TMS for the other 6 teams.
