First graders in Mrs. McIlwain's class enjoy their first day in Technology.
Young students learn best through exploration and interaction with peers and adults. Technology lends itself to this style of learning. Developmentally-appropriate activities provide students with opportunities to utilize technology skills as they accomplish curriculum competencies. Students become accustomed to utilizing technology tools when technology is integrated into a variety of learning situations. Lawhon students begin in kindergarten with acquiring basic technology skills, such as using the mouse, scrolling through a website, and working interactive software.
