Welcome to our Challenge class page!
The Challenge program serves students in 2nd and 3rd grade who have been identified as intellectually gifted. We have 4 second grade classes (Allen, Bolton, Bowdry, and Wright) and 3 third grade classes (Ellis, Moss, and Watson).
We will be working throughout the year on these skills: Thinking skills - critical, analogical, and figural; Communication - speaking, writing, and listening; Research; Creativity - creative thinking, divergent thinking, and creative expression; and Building Identity and Community - group dynamics, leadership, self-directed learning, and life skills.
I am looking forward to a fun year with a lot of learning!!
