"TPSD Golden Apple" Award Recognitions
Volunteer Awards for World Class Supporters
Eligibility and Criteria:
All community supporters of the Tupelo Public School District are eligible for “TPSD Golden Apple Awards.”
The TPSD Golden Apple should be awarded to community supporters for demonstrating one or more of the following:
- Organizing an outstanding event or program to benefit students, staff, or the community
- Volunteering to provide additional services to students or the system beyond the ordinary
- Focusing on superior quality customer service to improve stakeholder involvement and satisfaction
- Consistently performing volunteer responsibilities in an exemplary manner that demonstrates a WORLD CLASS STANDARD that supports the vision, mission, goals, and objectives of the TPSD.
Nomination, Selection, and Award Process:
- Any person can nominate a community volunteer for a TPSD Golden Apple Award. The nominee should not be told of the nomination, in order to surprise him or her with the recognition if awarded!
- A nomination form must be completed and submitted to the TPSD Public Information Department, P.O. Box 72, Tupelo, MS 38802.
- The Golden Apple Awards Committee will consider each nominee. The Golden Apple Awards Committee will recommend the volunteer to the Superintendent for final award determination.
- If the committee deems the nominee for a TPSD Golden Apple Award for appropriate recognition for service, the award certificate will be completed and, along with the Golden Apple pin, be presented to the community volunteer during a Board of Trustees meeting.
