A monthly "Koalaty Award" is presented to 2 students from each Kindergarten class and 1st grade class and 3 students from each 2nd and 3rd grade class. Students receive a colorful certificate and a "winner" medal ribbon for their outstanding behavior/performance and they are recognized at the Koalaty Kid Celebration (KKC). The "Koalaty Award" is awarded to students who exemplify one or more of these qualities: respectful, resourceful, responsible, quality work, and/or the character/value of the month. To share the successes of our students, we recognize them at the KKC in the Activity Building at 1:45 on the last Friday of each month with the exception of August, December and May. At each celebration, we enjoy other student performances, too! There's always a reason to celebrate fun learning at Rankin! Please join us when you can ~ it's an open invitation!
