Lawndale Procedures for Arrival / Departure
Arrival procedure for bus riders
- Bus riders will arrive at school no earlier than 7:15 a.m.
- Bus riders will report to the cafeteria for breakfast or to a specified area determined by the school principal.
- Teachers and campus security officers will be on duty to supervise students safely to their proper destination.
Departure procedure for bus riders
- Bus riders will be dismissed beginning at 3:05 p.m. by bus number.
- 4th and 5th grade bus riders will exit through the south doors of the activity building.
- 6th grade bus riders will exit through the 6th grade southeast door.
- Assigned staff members will monitor students to the appropriate loading destination and assist the students safely aboard.
Arrival procedure for car riders
- Car riders should arrive at school no earlier than 7:15 a.m.
- Car riders will enter from Lawndale Drive, keeping to the right, yield if necessary, and make a full circle to the front of the building.
- Car riders are not to be dropped off at the rear of the building.
- When entering or exiting campus, observance of all stop signs and following directions of the crossing guards is crucial to the safety of all students.
- All vehicles must turn left onto Lawndale Drive as they exit the school campus.
- Car riders will report to the cafeteria for breakfast or to a specified area determined by the school principal.
- Teachers and campus security officers will be on duty to supervise students safely to their proper destination.
Departure procedure for car riders
- Car riders will be dismissed at 3:00 p.m.
- Observance of the on duty staff’s directions and instructions will ensure the safety of all students and assist in traffic flow. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
- Car riders will enter from Lawndale Drive, keeping to the right, yield if necessary, and make a full circle to the front of the building.
- All vehicles must turn left onto Lawndale Drive as they exit the school campus.
- Parents are encouraged to pick up students no later that 3:45 p.m. each day.
- Assigned staff members will monitor students to the appropriate loading destination and assist the students safely to the appropriate car.

- Daycare bus riders will arrive at school no earlier than 7:15 a.m.
- Daycare bus riders will enter through the south doors of the activity building.
- Daycare bus riders will report to the cafeteria for breakfast or to a specified area determined by the school principal.
- Teachers and campus security officers will be on duty to supervise students safely to their proper destination.

- Walkers should arrive at school no earlier than 7:15 a.m.
- Walkers are encouraged to walk directly to school.
- Walkers will enter through the main entrance of the school.
- Walkers will report to the cafeteria for breakfast or to a specified area determined by the school principal.
- Teachers and campus security officers will be on duty to supervise students safely to their proper destination.
Departure procedure for walkers
- Walkers will be dismissed at 3:10 p.m.
- Walkers will exit through the south doors of the activity building.
- Walkers are encouraged to walk directly home after school.
- Assigned staff members will monitor students safely off campus.
