Tupelo Public School District Security and members of the Tupelo Police Department have met with Carver principal, Mrs. Kimberly Britton, regarding the safety and efficiency of the student pick-up procedures at Carver. After careful study and deliberation, the following guidelines have been established:
1. Please follow the directions of the security officer.
2. Please enter the parking lot using the right entry only. The traffic should flow one-way.
3. Please do not check out students after 2:30 unless the student has a doctor's appointment or an emergency.
4. Place the name-tag sent home in the dashboard of your vehicle. One name is sufficient when car pooling.
5. 4th grade students will be dismissed first, with 5th and 6th grades following consecutively.
6. Day care vans will pick up students at the bus entrance.
The safety of your child is of utmost importance to us; therefore, we constantly review our policies and procedures. Your cooperation in this matter is vital to ensure the safety of each Carver student. Thank you.
